To All concerned,
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve rapidly, we felt it appropriate to update you on the latest steps that Caremore Group is taking toward ensuring both the safety and wellbeing of our staff and the young people in our care.
Where colleagues are working both in our placements and off site office, we will be maintaining safe environments with greater physical distance. We have also increased the level of cleaning in all our office and placements, and are stressing to our people the importance of basic personal hygiene, including mandating signage in all areas on hygiene and preventative measures.
These recommendations follow World Health Organisation guidance and include:
Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds;
Avoiding touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands;
Covering noses and mouths when coughing or sneezing. Throwing away the tissue and washing hands; and
Instructing employees and service users to get adequate sleep and eat well-balanced meals to ensure a healthy immune system.
We have asked that any of our people who are unwell with a cold or flu-like symptoms do not come into work, under any circumstance, for the relevant period.
We also have contingency plans in place for suspected and confirmed cases in our organisation should these occur.
Rest assured, we are aptly prepared for situations such as these and will be tracking any issues as they arise and monitoring the situation. Operating procedures are being updated daily to ensure our work continues uninterrupted, and the safety of our service users and staff members is maintained.
It goes without saying that the health and safety of our staff and service users in addition to our ability to continue to support the young people in our care during this difficult time are most important to us.
If you have any questions regarding the above, or if there are actions that we can take or situations where we may be able to help, then please let us know.
